Open an Action, a Contact, a Company or any other record, and it opens in the record panel beside your list. The panel has the same order for every kind of record, so once you know one you know them all.

The panel from top to bottom

1

Head

The head holds the record’s main act where it has one, such as Mark complete on an Action. Beside it are Follow, Add to favorites, Copy link and a More menu.
2

Title and properties

The properties are the record’s key facts, for example Status, Assignee and Due date. Empty properties that are not part of the record’s core fold away. Choose Show N more fields to see them.
3

Description

What the record is about. Edit it in place.
4

Actions

The Actions that belong to the record, and sub-Actions where the record is an Action.
5

Related records

Lists of records connected to this one.
6

Attachments

The files attached to the record.
7

Comments and Activity

Two tabs at the bottom. Comments is the conversation, and Activity is a plain log of what changed. The tab you used last opens first on the next record.

The More menu

  • Open as a page gives the record a full page of its own.
  • Archive hides the record from active work. You can restore it from Archive.
  • Delete moves the record to the Bin and says first what else goes with it. See Bin and restore.

Follow a record

Choose Follow to receive updates on a record. A following record appears in your notifications as it changes. Choose Following to stop.

Attachments

Every record has one place for its files, called Attachments. The section shows how many files are attached.
  • Choose Upload, or drop files onto the section, to attach them.
  • Select an attached file to preview it, and to remove it if you have permission.
  • Emails you attach to a record are kept here too.
A file you upload to Files on its own is different: it stays private to you until you share it. See Finding your way around.

Who can change a record

You can change a record only if your role and the record’s Project or board allow it. If a control is greyed out, hover over it. Saphion says why.
