CRM keeps your customer relationships and your sales pipeline together. It is a product your Organisation holds, and an Admin gives people a seat so they can change its records. Sharing the product (View or Comment) lets others see them. Open it from the app switcher at the top of the sidebar. CRM does not keep its own copy of your people. Its Companies and Contacts are the same records you find under Contacts in the Workspace, so a change made in one place is the change everywhere. See Companies and people.

What is in CRM

CRM’s own sidebar groups its places.

A lead’s journey

  1. A Lead is an enquiry you have not yet qualified. Work it through its statuses: New, Working, Qualified, Disqualified and Converted.
  2. When it is real, choose Convert. It opens the New opportunity dialog. Converting links the Lead to its Company, creates the Contact under it and the Opportunity, and carries the Lead’s conversation across. The Lead becomes Converted, with a Converted to line, and can no longer be changed.
  3. An Opportunity moves through your pipeline until you mark it Won, Lost or No bid. See Opportunities and pipeline.
  4. A won Opportunity can start a Project. Choose Create project on it.

Reporting

  • Sales performance shows how the pipeline stands.
  • Forecast answers whether you will hit your target. See Forecast.
  • Pipeline changes shows what moved in a period.

Targets and settings

Sales targets are set on the Forecast, for the Organisation, for teams and for individuals, by an Organisation Admin, a Manager of CRM or, for their own team and its people, a team’s owner. Everyone else can view them.
