# Connectors for your Organisation

> Choose which connectors your Organisation offers, answer requests and set each tool's ceiling.

This page is for Organisation Admins. Everyone connects their own accounts, as described in [Connectors](https://docs.saphion.co.uk/beacon/connectors.md). Admins decide which connectors are available and how far Beacon may go with each.

Open **Settings > Connectors** under the **Organisation** group. Only an Admin sees it.

## Make a connector available

The page lists every connector Saphion offers. For each one you see who published it and whether it is **Available** or **Off for your Organisation**. Use the switch to change it.

* **Off** stops anyone connecting that connector and withholds its tools from Beacon. Members still see it in **Discover** and can ask for it. Sign-ins already made are kept.
* Some connectors show **Not connectable yet**, because they cannot be switched on for your Organisation today.

The first row, **Web search**, is not a connector. Beacon can search the web unless you turn this switch off, and then nobody in your Organisation is offered web search.

## Answer requests

When a member asks for a connector that is off, a **Requests** section appears at the top of the page with a count. Each row says who asked.

* **Approve** makes the connector available to your Organisation straight away.
* **Decline** asks for an optional reason. The person who asked is told, with your reason if you give one.

## Set the ceiling for each tool

Choose **Tool permissions** on a connector to open it. Switch from **My settings** to **Organisation** at the top of its tool list.

For each tool, and for each group of tools, you choose a ceiling: **Always allow**, **Needs approval** or **Blocked**, or **Default**, which leaves the tool at the setting Saphion gives it. Members choose within your ceiling and can make a tool stricter for themselves, never looser. A tool that sends something to other people can never be set to Always allow.

## Add a custom connector

If you want a system that is not in the list, choose **Add custom connector** on the Connectors page under Customise.

1. Paste the address of a remote MCP server, and optionally give it a name.
2. Choose **Add**. Saphion refuses an address that cannot be reached, is not an MCP server, or carries a secret, and says which.
3. Sign in to the new connector with your own account. Everyone else signs in with theirs.

After that it is a connector like the rest.

## Organisation-wide accounts

Some connectors are connected once for the whole Organisation rather than by each person. These show **Connected for** your Organisation, and only an Admin can disconnect them. On such a connector, a **Who can use it** section lets you choose **Everyone** or **Chosen people and Teams**.
